My return trip to the Madame Guitare festival in Friulia went wonderfully, with an atmospheric stage set in front of the Tricesimo cathedral, a large and attentive audience, and perfect (for a change) weather. As usual, Marco Micone was everywhere, doing everything to keep the festival humming. New French friend Michel Gentils showed me some new 12-string ideas, and new Italian friend Alberto Caltanella played wonderfully, and brought up his upcoming Venice-area festival, in which I may participate next year. A highlight of the Italian portion of my trip, without a doubt. Gherardo Barghini took this photo outside my hotel in Tricesimo. Wish I could use it for an album cover sometime soon!
