There couldn’t have been a better way to end my nine-shows-in-ten-days tour in Idaho, Washington and Oregon than to visit old friends and the Presbyterian Church in Halfway, OR for the final show. Steve Backstrom from Hells Canyon Journal took the photo, and also helped me make the connection once again with Penny and the Arts Council. I foundt kindness on several fronts (Raz from Wallowa Llamas, Bill from the Presbyterian Church, Tom and Linda with wonderful housing, food and conversation), the evening went spendidly, and was marked by the warmth of the community that I remembered from earlier visits. I hope that ten years don’t elapse before my next visit. Thanks to all!
